Pacific Blasting and its mining staff have extensive mining experience in North America and on the international scene. Our experienced mine operators and field staff are capable of handling your project, whether it is an underground or surface operation, with the highest regard to safety, productivity, cost control, efficiency, quality workmanship and professionalism. To assist our clients with their projects, Pacific Blasting utilizes Gemcon mining software.

Mine Development — Pacific Blasting specializes in pioneering and haul-road access development in areas that are extremely difficult to access. Specialized drilling equipment, often supported by helicopter services is routinely used. Starter pit development services are also offered. Pacific Blasting has the capability to provide complete mine contracting services.

Production Drilling and Blasting — We are capable of providing mine production drilling and blasting services to our clients anywhere in the world with state of the art drilling equipment and highly experienced blasting crews. Blast designs and tie-ins are produced to ensure maximum fragmentation, to minimize muck throw in areas where dilution is of concern and to control blast vibration to minimize wall damage. We have extensive experience with the latest detonation systems, including electronic delay elements.

Pushbacks — Pushbacks or laybacks are performed by Pacific Blasting, either for the recovery of additional ore or for slope stabilization. We offer a complete package, including all rock slope stabilization systems, wall control blasting and assistance with mine design to ensure that your push back is completed safely.

Wall Control Drilling & Blasting — We offer wall control blasting programs that limit blast vibration and damage to the highwall in order to maintain the stability of the mine highwall. Specialized wall control designs by Pacific Blasting have enabled some mining operations to steepen the overall slope of their highwall. In one application where geotechnical parameters allowed, the highwall was steepened from 47 to 63 degrees. We work with our clients to provide a system that will provide satisfactory results for the geologic structure exhibited in your operation.

Portal Development and Tunneling — Complete tunneling services, including portal development along with rock slope stabilization performed above the portal is provided. Our services also include muck handling, rock stabilization system installation and meet all ventilation requirements.

Drop Raises — Drop raise design and implementation services are provided for drop raises from the bottom of your open pit to an underground drift or for drop raise requirements in underground operations.

Rock Slope Stabilization —High scaling, rock bolting, cable anchors, draped mesh and other slope stabilization systems are routinely installed in open pit mines. Our crews are available to work anywhere in the world.

Drill and Blast Consulting — Pacific Blasting can set up your drilling and blasting program to meet your needs. Drill and blast audit services can be performed to outline areas of deficiency in your current program and provide recommendations for improvement. If you are having wall control problems, an audit can quickly determine the problem areas and an economical and practical solution can be developed.

Special Projects — Pacific Blasting is noted for “out-of-box” thinking and being capable of providing special project sevices. Whether the project involves cutting some high grade ore out of an existing highwall or some other challenge that nobody has attempted, Pacific Blasting provides innovative drill, blast design and implementation services.
